This tool takes a list of IP addresses and, for each one, reports the country, region and city it maps to plus the network (ASN) that announces it on the internet. It is the fast way to triage a column of addresses from a log file, an access list, or an analytics export without pasting them one at a time.
Country is reliable; city is a guess
IP geolocation places an address by country correctly the large majority of the time. Below that it gets soft. City and region are estimates built from routing data and registry hints, and they are frequently wrong for mobile networks, VPNs, corporate WANs, and cloud or hosting providers — in those cases the location reflects where the infrastructure sits, not where a person is. Do not treat a city as a fact.
What the ASN column means
The ASN (Autonomous System Number) identifies the network operator that routes
the address — an ISP, a hosting company, or a large organisation running
its own network. It is shown with the operator name, for example
AS15169 Google LLC. A data-centre or hosting ASN is a useful hint
that the traffic is not a home broadband connection. The ASN is not the same as
the registered owner of the block; for that, and for an abuse contact,
use the single-IP IP WHOIS Lookup.
No VPN or proxy detection
The free GeoLite2 data has no anonymiser flag, so this tool does not label an address as a VPN, proxy or Tor exit. The ASN is the only signal here, and it is circumstantial.
Privacy
The addresses you paste are looked up against the local database and returned to your browser. They are not stored, written to a log, or sent to an outside geolocation service. The CSV is built in your browser from the results already on the page.
